We've all been kids and some of us father them - if you trust the      blood-test guy, he was smoking in a lab and his english was poor? but whatever. Wouldn't it be amazing if someone who wasn't a bell-end was prepared to talk about parenthood?

Dream on, suckers. Bell-end Dan Antopolski adds his meditations on the noble estate of fathership to this festival of dreams. Also many other topics will be covered. Raps will be performed. An unpublishable novel! One-liners! Several-liners! Seriously, can you take another hour of warm, alarming standup from this hilarious white? Ingredients include come-hither eyes, go-hence nose and stay-where-you-are cheeks. Farts funny? Check. Death funny? Check. Let's gooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

The Dave Award

Since way back in 2008, the venerable Channel Dave has appointed a crack team of experienced industry gophers to seek out the Fringe's funniest joke. In August 2009 a shortlist of 27 jokes was compiled and presented to 3000 members of the public. This year Dan Antopolski, whose site you are browsing, which is why this is being mentioned, won the prize of £1000, a perspex elephant and some free publicity for his Edinburgh show.

Dan said of this win, "I'm delighted to get the prize. Although I have won things before at the fringe, this definitely means the most to me and that it should unite my loves of hedgehogs, comedy and Dave makes this prize very special." Some people took this earnest speech at face value, which kind of thing is endlessly amazing. Anyway, here is an amount of the press coverage, not including Reuters, Ceefax or the Pakistan Daily Mail where this story also appeared:
